Personal
Jeanne grew up in Albany, attending the Academy of the Holy Names from grade school through High School. After high school graduation she went to Boston College graduating from there with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and then went to Thomas M. Cooley Law School on their Lansing, Michigan campus.
Jeanne and her husband, Chuck moved back to the area after law school to start their family and have the support of her family in the area. Jeanne and Chuck have been active in the St. Pius Church community and remain involved with various community events including JDRF and the American Heart Association programs.
Jeanne and Chuck have two children who are each recently married, Kyle Heran (Karissa) and Meghan Heran (Nicholas).
Professional
Jeanne began her local law career in The Albany County Public Defenders office and left there after 17 years of public service and after becoming Chief Assistant Public Defender in charge of the Appellate Unit.
She has since entered private practice and concentrates primarily in the area of Real Property. She handles both Residential and Commercial transactions. Jeanne has acted as Intermediary for 1031 Exchanges and handles short sales on a regular basis.
In 2003 Jeanne formed her title agency for the benefit of her real property clients. Hearthstone Abstract, LLC was created so that the title needs of all her real property clients could be taken care of within the office, thus streamlining the process.
